RAFFAELE
PAGLIONE composer of the
music.
He
was born in Rome in 1964. After obtaining a diploma in pianoforte in
1987 he also studied composition. His interests include chamber music
and choir conduction. He has accompanied many interpreters of classical
music, opera singers and modern singers. While perfecting his studies in
Vienna (1991-1993) he discovered a great passion for musicals. As well
as writing music and songs for many occasions and events he has also
taken part as a composer in musical contests, school concerts and
theatre performances. |

With
the collaboration of two opera singers he recorded the CD “L’amore
in musica” (2001). At present he is engaged in other theatre projects
and is the conductor of the choir S.Bonaventura in Rome. The musical
“VINCENT” is based on an original idea of ANNA HURKMANS, a
teacher collegue at the “ Giordano Bruno” highschool in Rome.

ANNA
HURKMANS , author of the play and the lyrics.
Born
in Haarlem (Netherlands), she moved to Rome where
she graduated in modern languages and literature at the
University “La Sapienza”. While employed as a teacher of German in
Italian high schools, she began her career as a singer of cabaret songs
(especially with a repertoire of Brecht/Weill,
French chansons and Yiddish songs), giving performances in many Italian
and European towns. As a writer she has been awarded prizes in literary
contests for novels and theatre plays (e.g. Premio Bertolt Brecht,
Premio Firenze). |
