ANNA
HURKMANS , author of the play and the lyrics.
Born
in Haarlem (Netherlands), she moved to Rome where
she graduated in modern languages and literature at the
University “La Sapienza”. While employed as a teacher of German in
Italian high schools, she began her career as a singer of cabaret songs
(especially with a repertoire of Brecht/Weill,
French chansons and Yiddish songs), giving performances in many Italian
and European towns. As a writer she has been awarded prizes in literary
contests for novels and theatre plays (e.g. Premio Bertolt Brecht,
Premio Firenze).
She
has been awarded an important prize for the theatre version of
"Vincent".

"Song 2002" at the "Song Expo" for "sunflowers"
and "Too much"
The prize for the best
arrangement at the "Song Expo" for "Too much" and
